Glass doors for shop fronts and building entrances

Shop front doors are the entrance doors to a retail or commercial unit - usually aluminium, steel-framed glass or frameless glass. The right choice depends on footfall, fire rating, security and branding. DoorTechnik manufactures bespoke steel and frameless glass shop front doors in the UK, including fire-rated shopfronts, an option few suppliers offer.

Glass, steel or aluminium shop fronts

Frameless glass (GL15) gives the most open, contemporary look; slimline steel-glazed doors (SG20) add strength and can be fire-rated up to 180 minutes; aluminium is a lower-cost option where fire rating and bespoke sizing are not required.

Security, compliance and operation

Shop front doors can be specified with multi-point locking and access control, and operated manually or as automatic sliding or swing doors - as with our powered entrance at Buxton Crescent and SG20 entrances for Rolls-Royce. Cost depends on size, glazing, fire rating and operation; contact us for a quote.

Our GL15 and SG20 glass doors are often used on the front of shops and other commercial buildings.

Our SG20 glass fire door is rated for up to 180 minutes depending on configuration.
